Stargazing

I was coming in from the cool December air of a Wisconsin night when I had paused to ponder upon the sky. Orion was the first thing I saw upon looking up.

I wonder, if I had not been taught to identify constellations, what patterns or meanings would I have assigned to the random points of light?
