While he has backpedaled, Utah’s Representative Brian M. Greene (R) takes the award for Misogynistic Asshat of the Week for his comments questioning if a someone having sex with their unconscious wife should be defined as rape.
To be fair to men he is also a huge asshat, in my opinion, for being dismissive and questioning if it would even be possible for a man to be raped while unconscious. Heck, men have even fathered children when raped while unconscious. Rape is rape. In 2003, 1 of every 10 rape victims was a man (National Crime Victimization Survey).
Earlier this week Sen Thom Tillis made remarks about blessing businesses to ignore laws. I wonder what brilliance will come out of Washington next.
