So, what is apophenia anyway

Apophenia /æpɵˈfniə/ is the experience of seeing patterns or connections in random or meaningless data. [Source: wikipedia]

That pretty much sums up life: finding meaning and connections amidst the randomness.

There is some pretty cool science and research about the psychological phenomena of apophenia. I’m sure I will share some of that along the way, but this is in no means meant to be a blog dedicated to that concept. I have several small blogs around dedicated to specific topics and post when the fancy strikes me, but this space of bits and bytes real estate is intended to be a dumping ground for the randomness that floats through my head or occasionally the journaling that keeps me as same as I am.

Let’s test your affinity for apophenia.

About Apophenias

I'm human. Female. Self-employed. Searching for connections in the randomness of life. Currently residing the US. ... And not quite defined by being in the midst of a biological ticking.

I really like your blog! I like the vulnerability with which you write and I always enjoy reading the experiences and observations of fellow poly peeps 🙂 Looking forward to reading more.

  4. I see two merry men, legs clasped, balanced on a buoy, having a toast as elves drop floats and prepare to drop from the knees of the men. Oh, and the men are wearing arm floats.
